Bobby Nystrom - Rawlings durene knit, size 50. During the 1970's many New York Islander game used jerseys were handed down to the Fort Worth Texans of the old CHL, this jersey is one of the most finest found to date. This is a real New York Islanders jersey worn by Bobby Nystrom. What is very unique about this particular jersey is that the Islanders crest is still under the Fort Worth Texans crest.  Most Islanders crests were taken off and replaced by the Texans crest. You can also clearly see were the Bobby Nystrom nameplate was on the back of the jersey.  Once handed down to Fort Worth the team replaced the #23 on the back and the sleeves for a brighter newer look.  You can still clearly see the Islanders old #23 on the sleeves and the back of the jersey, the outline stitching still remains. How this jersey was dated is by the long outline of the Rawlings tag which was last used in the 1st half of 73-74. See the photo below on the Billy Harris for reference. This jersey while in Fort Worth was worn by Steve Short.

Game Wear:       

Billy Harris - Rawlings durene knit, size 50.  Harris was the #1 overall pick in the 1972 draft and the first ever pick by the Isles in team history. Prior to Mike Bossy's arrival, Harris played on a line with Clark Gillies and Bryan Trottier that was nicknamed the Long Island Lightning Company. He scored the first regular season goal in Isles history. This jersey could have also been worn in the 74-75 season.  Islanders durene jerseys are one of the toughest 70's jerseys to get.

Game Wear:       231 NHL Goals.

Chico Resch  - Mesh knit, size 48.  LOA from Spirit of the Game. Underside of tag has "9-19-80" written in Sharpie. There are photo's of Resch wearing a footed number 1 in the first part of the season and in the second half he is wearing this none footed #1.

Gary Howatt  - Sandow SK mesh, size 46 but it measures to be a 50. . This jersey came directly from Gary Howatt when he became a Hartford Whaler.  This jersey is in research but its a good assumption that it was worn in the 80-81 Finals.  LOA from the Spirit of the Game. #8 written in sharpie on tag with 46 written in pen.

Brad Dalgarno - CCM Airknit, size 54.  This is the first hybrid from CCM in their attempt to produce Airknit jersey. Its not quite a mesh or a Airknit its in between.  They originally came out with these in 87-88, which is also the time were the Islanders had Syosset Sports on the hem. Its hard to date exactly buts its was used in one of these seasons or both, it could have been recycled.  No signs of a nameplate change at all.  LOA from the Spirit of the Game.

Game Wear:       

Ken Baumgartner - CCM Air knit, size 52 . The jersey was also worn by Mikko Makela in 88-89 and when Ken comes in the trade from Los Angeles this is his first road jersey.  So it does show a nameplate change.
