Durene
knit,
size
48. This
jersey
has
some
great
recycling
history
behind
it.
It
was
first
used
by
the
California
Golden
Seals
and
was
issued
to
1960
USA
Olympian
Tommy
Williams,
then
it
was
handed
down
to
the
Seals
farm
team
the
Salt
Lake
Golden
Eagles.
Williams
was
traded
to
the
Seals
in
the
70-71
season
from
Minnesota,
at
some
point
he
wears
#27
then
switches
to
#26.
The
Williams
name
is
visible
on
the
back.
No
one
of
the
name
Williams
ever
played
for
Salt
Lake,
and
in
72-73
Jim
Jones
wears
#27
for
Salt
Lake.
I
have
traced
an
Original
Seals
crest
and
laid
it
directly
in
proportion
with
the
V
collar
1.5"
and
you
can
clearly
see
the
team
repair
done
directly
were
the
"S"
in
Seals
was
taken
off.
Clearly
the
evidence
shows
that
Real
Seals
jerseys
were
handed
down
to
Salt
Lake.

Cleveland Barons posted 7-26-04
Ken Kuzyk - Rawlings Durene knit, size
48. Without a shadow of a doubt the hardest to obtain 70's NHL
jersey. Most of these were thrown away while Cleveland moved to
Minnesota. One recently sold privately for $10,000.00. This is
a first year Barons with the beautiful tackle twill state patches.
The second season the state patches were not placed on the jersey.
The crest is heat sealed on and is in fantastic shape with absolutely no
signs of cracking, so to get a Barons of this quality is very very
rare. This was worn in the era of no names on the back.
Game Wear:
Right Sleeve - One very small unrepaired hole on the
sleeve stripe. |
Left Sleeve - 2 Light stick marks and a board burn,
and one small unrepaired hole on the sleeve stripe. |
Front - The front shows several nice stick marks and a
couple of nice stick marks on the crest. |
Back- The back numbers show sweat stains. |
Fight Strap - Loop style fight strap. |
Inside - Great interior pilling.
