Teemu Selanne - CCM Ultrafil knit, size 54. During Teemu's rookie season a lot of jerseys were used by him and some fakes were made that have made it into the hobby. Although I have not photo matched this jersey, and I have only known one to be ever photo matched from this season. Everything adds up to this being a real Selanne. I have matched this against another Selanne rookie that is owned by a very prominent collector and just sold in Classic Auctions for $6809.00 and this matches in every aspect, and also against common players from that year. The sleeve cut is 1" the similar stick marks on the front below the crest all stitching patterns are the same, and the nice even wear inside in the elbow area. The stick marks below the crest I have seen in video and in photo's. They are very distinctive marks, I believe this is caused by Teemu sticks. LOA from the Spirit of the Game.

Game Wear:

Right Sleeve - Sleeve is cut 1" from the end of the cuff. Sweat stains and stick marks.

Left Sleeve - Sleeve is cut 1" from the end of the cuff. Sweat stains and stick marks.

Front - Classic Selanne stick marks on the front, I believe these to be from his stick, I have seen 3 other Selanne rookie home jerseys with similar wear in this area and you can see these typical stick marks in many photo's from this year.

Back- Some stick marks. Rounded edged nameplate.

Fight Strap - Velcro button style.

Inside - Very nice even pilling on the elbow area's.
